Nuclear Imaging

Nuclear Imaging-

At Saigal Diagnostics, our Nuclear Imaging services provide advanced, non-invasive scans that show how your organs and tissues are functioning — not just what they look like. This powerful technology helps in early detection and precise diagnosis of many serious conditions.

What is Nuclear Imaging?

Nuclear imaging uses small amounts of radioactive material (tracers) combined with special cameras to take pictures of how your organs are working in real time. It is safe, painless, and gives doctors unique information that other scans (like X-rays or CTs) may not reveal.

What Can Nuclear Imaging Detect?

Nuclear scans are commonly used to evaluate:

  • Heart conditions – to assess blood flow and damage after a heart attack

  • Bone diseases – to detect infections, fractures, or cancers

  • Thyroid disorders – to examine overactivity or nodules

  • Kidney function – to check blood flow and drainage

  • Cancer spread (Metastasis) – to find tumors or monitor treatment response

  • Brain disorders – such as Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, or Parkinson’s disease

These scans help diagnose problems early — often before symptoms appear or structural changes occur.

Types of Nuclear Imaging Offered:

  • Bone Scans

  • Myocardial Perfusion Scans (Stress Tests)

  • Thyroid Scans

  • PET/CT Scans

  • Renal Scans

  • Whole Body Scans for Cancer Screening

What to Expect?

  • A small amount of tracer is either injected, swallowed, or inhaled

  • The tracer travels to the target organ

  • Special cameras capture detailed images

  • The entire procedure is safe, and radiation levels are low

  • You can usually go home the same day
