CT Scan

CT Scan

At Saigal Diagnostics, our CT Scan (Computed Tomography) service provides fast and detailed images of the inside of your body. It’s a powerful diagnostic tool that helps doctors detect and treat various medical conditions with accuracy and speed.

What is a CT Scan?

A CT scan uses X-rays and computer technology to create cross-sectional images of your body. It’s like seeing your body in slices, giving doctors a much clearer view than a regular X-ray. It’s especially useful for seeing bones, organs, blood vessels, and soft tissues in detail.

When is a CT Scan Needed?

Your doctor may suggest a CT scan for:

  • Head injuries, strokes, or brain tumors

  • Chest pain or breathing issues (to check lungs and heart)

  • Abdominal pain or infections

  • Bone fractures or joint problems

  • Detecting tumors, internal bleeding, or clots

  • Planning or guiding surgeries and treatments

CT scans are often used in emergency situations because they provide results quickly and clearly.

What Happens During a CT Scan?

  • The scan is quick — usually 5 to 15 minutes.

  • You’ll lie on a table that slowly moves through a large, doughnut-shaped machine.

  • It’s painless and non-invasive.

  • Sometimes, a contrast dye is used through a small injection to highlight certain areas (safe and used only when needed).

  • You may be asked to hold your breath for a few seconds during the scan for clear images.
